Saipol, a subsidiary of Avril, announces the appointment of Bastien Le Bouhellec. He succeeds Claire Duhamel as head of Oleo100, a 100% French rapeseed biofuel, and will be responsible for continuing to develop this sustainable solution for the professional transport market. These changes will take effect as of 1 January 2025.

Bastien Le Bouhellec, who joined Saipol in 2017, has solid expertise in energy market management. Already well known to our teams, he has helped to boost the competitiveness of our biodiesel activities, and will continue the strategic and operational development of Oleo100 by consolidating its use by leaders in the transport sector.

I’m extremely proud to be joining the Oleo100 team at Saipol. The work accomplished over the last 5 years has been nothing short of impressive. We will continue to support road transport as we work together to meet the challenge of reducing emissions. One of my key objectives will be to accelerate this process, namely by promoting low-carbon farming practices.

Claire Duhamel joins Oleon, another Avril subsidiary specialising in renewable chemistry, as its Transformation Director. She will steer cross-functional strategic projects, with a view of rolling out the company’s 2030 vision. Claire has played a key role in the success of Oleo100, by structuring a solid organisation and enabling the project to grow rapidly since she joined Saipol in 2020.

I’m proud to have helped develop Oleo100 from an entrepreneurial project into a mature, successful organisation. I will depart from this great adventure with full confidence in the team in place, which will continue to develop this strategic activity for Saipol and Avril.

These appointments reflect Avril’s commitment to capitalising on in-house talent, and synergies between its subsidiaries to accelerate the energy transition.
